Search and Care is 50+ year non-profit dedicated to helping older adults live independently in their communities through case management, social/educational groups, and programming.

Our orginization's technology assistance program Silver Circles, is looking for tech-savvy volunteers to assist our clients age 60+ for a technology help event that is taking place at Stanley Isaacs Community Center at E93rd Street between 1st Ave & FDR Drive.

Our volunteer's task will be to assist event participants with 1-on-1 technology assistance after the event's presentation has concluded.

Our mission is to seek out older people in the community who need help in managing life's daily activities or accessing essential services, and to provide them the support and companionship they require to live with security and dignity in the manner they choose.

Description

Search and Care is a not for profit social service agency that has helped over 10,000 older New York residents in the Upper East Side, East Harlem, and Upper West Side ranging from the ages 60-103.

Our experienced social workers, volunteers, and retired financial professionals make effective plans geared to each individual to maintain and hopefully improve their quality of life in our goal to help them remain in the community in their own homes as long as possible. Volunteers help us out tremendously in this regard!

We never charge a fee for our services.

  • - Tech Savvy Ability to work with multiple types of devices (i.e. Android, iOS, Windows, Mac, etc.) Patience Bilingual is a plus (English & Spanish)
