Why Rescued for Life?
Animals do not get to choose their paths in life, and the world hasn’t always been kind to them. It is our mission at Rescued for Life to make sure that all animals in our community get the love and chance they all deserve.
Rescued For Life is tirelessly working to change the outlook for many dogs, cats and farm animals that have been overlooked at other rescues around the country. We make sure all our animals have the best chance at life through extensive rehabilitation and training. Rehabilitation and training are the key elements to giving these animals what they deserve: a long and happy life with their forever families.
There are currently 390,000 dogs that get euthanized each year because they are not adopted. Your support would help us reduce this number and match our amazing dogs with equally amazing families.

Mission Statement
To provide safe, temporary refuge leading to loving, permanent homes for all breeds of dog through rescue and rehabilitation, training and compassion.
Description
While Rescued for Life rescues dogs from across the country, our main focus is on Colorado. Life has been unkind to most of the dogs placed either in pounds or in shelters, and if they are fortunate enough to escape euthanasia by being saved by rescues like ours, they are most often left physically and emotionally scarred.
In accepting these damaged but deserving dogs with all of their challenges, we are also accepting responsibility for their ultimate well being. Because we have no central facility, we rely solely upon a network of experienced, kind and loving volunteer foster homes to help these dogs transition from the nightmares of their past to the dreamscape of their futures. While Rescued for Life provides for their medical care, our foster homes provide them with a stable environment and a safe haven, coupled with training, support, and most importantly, TLC. Our fosters are our "eyes and ears", for they are the ones who are closest to the dogs, and who can best assess their physical and psychological needs. Needs we make certain to address. Why? Because our ultimate goal is to ensure that our dogs are not only highly adoptable, but that they are excellent matches for the permanent homes we choose for them through our rigorous screening and adoption process.
We vigorously uphold a no-kill policy. We never euthanize dogs with behavior problems, only those, whose medical problems are so severe that they are regretfully beyond help. And if one of our dogs is deemed unadoptable, that dog remains with us, safe in our care, for life. Rescued for Life also interacts with the members of our community by promoting responsible dog ownership, including spay/neutering, positive training methods and the humane care of all companion animals.
