QUICK OVERVIEW

Aloha!! We'll be cooking and serving a warm meal, sharing various healthcare, food, and government resources by pooling our energy and partnering with local service vendors. Your presence can help create a welcoming, supportive, and, safer environment for our community.

IMPACT

We'll be supporting Grace Diner by serving a warm meal, and sharing various healthcare, food, and government resources by pooling our energy and partnering with local service vendors. Your presence can help create a welcoming, supportive, and safer environment for our community.

Our unhoused neighbors are not getting their basic needs met, which everyone deserves. They are deprived of nutritious meals, healthcare needs, and shelter. When we work with fellow volunteers to offer a welcoming connection and meet the urgent needs of people living outside, our entire community benefits.

VOLUNTEER ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Set up tables, signage, and other necessary items before open ( Luau themed decor and specialty drinks)

Direct vendors on where they can set up

Assist with serving drinks

Serve a warm meal to our unhoused neighbors

Support individuals with the charging station

Support supervising and cleaning the activity areas to maintain health and safety guidelines

Support our invited vendors if they need assistance or have questions

After the event, take down, clean, and sweep the area. We want the space to look as clean and clear as when we arrived.

REQUIREMENTS

Waiver: Every volunteer must sign our liability waiver upon arrival. Please use all safety guidelines as presented.

Respect: While volunteering, please maintain the utmost level of respect for our guests & vendors

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Wear: Please wear clothes you don't mind getting dirty. If you've volunteered with us before, feel free to wear your Better Angels T-shirt to show your support!

Tools: We will provide any necessary supplies you need.

Age: All ages are welcome. Teams with members younger than 14 will participate with their parent/ guardian.

Schedule

Join the Better Angel group at the resource center. Look for our light blue T-shirts and our light blue sign

Sign in and receive a Better Angels T-shirt, if needed.

We'll meet up and chat about our plan for each shift duties.

Get the tools, supplies, and instructions you'll need.

After: Connect with the resource day organizers to discuss your experience and other volunteer opportunities. If your shift ends before the end of the day, we would still love to hear from you via our brief survey. We will send this after the event.
