ORGANIZATION: School on Wheels

Tutoring

Are you passionate about education and want to serve as a role model? Become a volunteer tutor today and support a child experiencing homelessness. We believe that education is key to breaking the cycle of homelessness. Our goal is to shrink the gaps in our students’ learning and provide them with the highest level of education possible. Tutoring serves as a consistent support system for our students during a time of great stress and fear. We currently have an urgent need for Spanish-speaking volunteers in Echo Park and surrounding cities.

Sign up today to help make an impact in a child's life at https://schoolonwheels.org/apply-to-be-a-volunteer/

Volunteers are asked to commit 1 hour a week for a year; tutoring usually happens on weekdays between 3 pm-7pm. We provide in-depth training and ongoing support to all our tutors.

It will be one of the most rewarding experiences of your life!
