Come join us spread JOY, share HOPE, and make the season BRIGHTER for the children in our programs!
Assist the annual Children's Friend Holiday Drive by supporting logistical operations to ensure the children have a joyful holiday season.
Possible tasks: (Subject to change depending on our needs the day you visit us.)
- Greeting donors who are dropping off gifts
- Helping donors unload their cars
- Re-bagging and labeling gifts with family wish list numbers
- Transporting gifts to our different stations
- Restocking inventory in our workshop room
- "Shopping" for items to fill gift bags with
- Organizing our workshop
- Helping load social workers’ cars with gifts
Physical Considerations:
- Ample time standing, bending, and lifting
- May be asked to lift bags weighing up to 20 pounds
- May be asked to push a wheeled laundry cart across the street to our other building
- Accommodations can be made to ensure that this is a positive experience for all
Suggested Clothing:
- Comfortable shoes!
- Appropriate outdoor gear: there may be a good time spent outdoors, in the elements.
- Layers- you may be asked to help in a warehouse where heat is not strong
