Circles is a relationship-focused leadership program. It is designed to empower low-income individuals and families to achieve their goals for self-sufficiency and economic growth. Circles helps these families create valuable resource networks that make the journey out of poverty manageable and achieveable.

An Ally is there to walk alongside the participants as they make their journey towards financial stability. They are there to help empower the Circle leader to believe in themselves and to help them find their unique skills and gifts. It’s really just like being a true friend!

And they will not be doing this alone! Allies work alongside 1-2 other volunteers and they are matched with one particpant to provide support. Additionally, there is a community of organized and dedicated resource teams available to help in the journey towards economic stability.

Becoming a Circle Ally gives you opportunities to:

• Support someone as they work to gain economic stability
• Use your experience and networks to help others
• Improve your problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
• Expand your perspective about the culture of poverty
• Take an active role in improving your community

Support the Circle Ally receives:

• Introduction/Orientation to Circles and Ally Training Sessions online and in person
• Ally peer-to-peer support sessions
• Collaboration with others in your Circle - you are not alone
• Circles Staff, to answer questions and provide guidance
