Join Alora’s Board of Directors - Be Part of Something Meaningful

At Alora, we’ve always believed in the power of community, mindful spaces, and inclusive, holistic support. Now, as we continue to grow, we’re looking for thoughtful, driven individuals to join our Board of Directors. If you have a heart for service, a deep understanding of neurodivergent individuals and caregivers, and the wisdom to guide an organization with compassion, this might be the right fit for you.

Role Summary:

As a member of our board, you’ll do more than advise. You’ll help guide Alora with clarity and intention, ensuring our community continues to receive the mindful, loving support they need. You’ll contribute to our strategic vision, expand our wellness offerings, and ensure we’re on solid ground financially-always with the well-being of neurodivergent individuals and their caregivers at the forefront.

What success looks like in this role:

  • You’ll help grow Alora’s programs in a way that serves both the mind and the heart.
  • You’ll work to ensure our community feels seen, supported, and valued.
  • You’ll help secure resources that keep us moving forward without compromising our integrity or values.
  • Most importantly, you’ll guide us with a focus on empathy, mindful decision-making, and genuine connection.

How this role fits into Alora: As a board member, you’ll be part of the leadership that ensures Alora stays true to its mission. Your wisdom and guidance will help us expand thoughtfully, while keeping the heart of our community at the center of everything we do.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Vision: Work with us to map out Alora’s future with a focus on sustainable growth and mindful support for our neurodivergent community and caregivers.
  • Community Building: Help foster a space where everyone feels they belong, contributing your voice to how we build and sustain relationships with our community.
  • Fundraising & Financial Oversight: Ensure we have the resources to keep growing in a way that honors our mission, while contributing to financial sustainability through grants, sponsorships, and donations.
  • Governance: Uphold Alora’s commitment to transparency, mindfulness, and integrity in all our decision-making processes.
  • Wellness Support: Guide the expansion of our wellness programs with an eye on holistic, mindful approaches that resonate with the neurodivergent and caregiving communities.

Qualifications:

  • A deep connection to the neurodivergent community, caregivers, or holistic wellness.
  • A passion for mindful, compassionate leadership that centers around service.
  • Experience in nonprofit governance, community building, or wellness practices is preferred.
  • Fundraising, financial oversight, or grant writing experience would be a valuable asset.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to bring clarity and calm to complex discussions.

At Alora, we’re more than just an organization. We’re a mindful, compassionate space that honors the uniqueness of every person in our community. If you feel called to help guide us as we grow, we’d love to hear from you.

About Alora Neurodivergent Mindful Community

Location:

PO BOX 63159, Pipe Creek, TX 78063, US

Mission Statement

At Alora, we create mindful spaces where neurodivergent individuals and caregivers can connect, find peace, and be their true selves. We know that life doesn’t always fit into neat boxes, and neither do we. Our focus is on fostering wellness, supporting the unique needs of our community, and offering a sense of calm amidst society's demands.

Description

Alora is about creating space-not just physical space, but the kind of space where you can breathe, reconnect, and simply be who you are, free from judgment. We’re a nonprofit dedicated to supporting neurodivergent individuals and caregivers through holistic wellness practices like meditation, yoga, reiki, and ageless wisdom. Everything we offer is rooted in mindfulness, encouraging you to slow down, reset, and find balance.

At the heart of what we do is REROUTE-a publication that’s gently changing how neurovariance is understood. More than a magazine, it’s a platform that showcases the creativity, depth, and brilliance of neurodivergent individuals. We’re not here to fight old narratives but to transform them, celebrating the uniqueness of our community. Our art dealership provides the same kind of recognition, offering neurodivergent artists a place to share their work and be honored for their talent.

We also bring people together through local and online events, creating spaces where neurodivergent individuals and caregivers can gather, share, and find connections in a supportive, understanding environment.

At Alora, our focus is on shifting perspectives with empathy and kindness. We believe that when people are supported, they can step into their true selves. That’s the space we’re creating-where neurodivergent individuals and caregivers are valued for who they are, where their voices are heard, and their experiences are celebrated.
