Why: Your volunteer efforts will contribute to creating a fun, safe, and meaningful event for families to socialize, connect with one another as well as to resources and services. Most importantly, you will be helping create memories that will last a lifetime for our children. We are expecting over 300 attendees and volunteers are going to be absolutely crucial in making sure that the event runs smoothly.

Who: Allies for Every Child is a nonproft agency with over 35 years of service. Our mission is to bring together and strengthen families, cultviating the necessary conditions for children to succeed in life. We do this by providing high quality early education and wraparound services for our families.

What to Expect:

Allies for Every Child is hosting its annual Children's Arts Festival on October 19, 2024 from 11 AM to 2 PM. It will feature performers, community resources, games, activities, and so much more!

This event is open to all of the families we serve as well as the rest of the community. Arts Festival is our largest community event of the year.

Volunteer responsibilities are going to be a combination of set up/clean up, food service, facilitating carinval game stations, leading arts and craft activities, directing traffic flow, assisting staff during registration and raffle giveaways.

We have 3 available volunteer shifts:

7:00 AM - 11:30 AM (Set up, decorations, arranging equipment, beginning of leading activities)

11:00 AM - 2:30 PM (Leading activities, operating popcorn machine, directing traffic, helping welcome guests)

1:00 PM - 4:30 PM (Leading tail-end of activities, clean-up, takedown, handing out groceries to guests)

What's Required:

Volunteers must be over the age of 12 and you will need to complete a Volunteer Form with Allies for Every Child.

Any volunteers between 12-16 must attend with a parent/guardian. If you are interested in volunteering, please reach out to the Opportunity Coordinator by clicking Express Interest and they will forward the form to you. Extra forms will also be available onsite on the day of the event.
