ORGANIZATION: Down Syndrome Foundation of Florida

The FOUNDATION is excited to be partnering with WUCF-PBS Kids for our upcoming program for children with Down syndrome from pre-school ages through 5th grade.

You will be helping at learning stations and helping with activities. Volunteers are also need to help set-up and clean-up for the event.

Volunteers are needed on Saturday, October 5th from 10 am to 1 pm at Summit Church in Orlando.

Welcome to the Down Syndrome Foundation of Florida!
We believe when POTENTIAL is given OPPORTUNITY the outcome is SUCCESS.

We envision a day where people with Down syndrome are fully included in their communities: working, playing, studying and living together with their peers.

We believe that the more opportunities any individual is given the greater the likelihood of their success. Every successful athlete, academic achiever or musical prodigy has many dedicated hours of practice, study and effort. It is our goal to provide more and more opportunities throughout the community for individuals with Down syndrome to be involved and included - not just because it is the right thing to do, but because we know EVERYONE will benefit from it! We provide scholarships, educational / informational programs, community / business partnerships to improve inclusion and legislative and political advocacy for issues related to individuals with developmental disabilities like Down syndrome.
