Do you want to make a difference in New Yorkers’ lives?

Become a NYC Free Tax Prep volunteer!

NYC Free Tax Prep offers trusted, professional filing at no cost for thousands of New Yorkers every year. Since 2015, volunteers like you have completed over 1 million tax returns and helped New Yorkers save $1.4 billion in estimated tax preparer fees. This is a short-term commitment that makes a big difference.

As a NYC Free Tax Prep volunteer, you will:

• · Join a team of passionate, supportive, and diverse New Yorkers,
• · Gain knowledge about basic tax law,
• · Develop skills as an IRS certified VITA/TCE volunteer preparer * and
• · Help your neighbors file their taxes and claim valuable tax credits

No previous tax experience is needed! You will receive hands-on training and ongoing support to prepare simple tax returns. NYC Free Tax Prep has more than 150 sites throughout the city, open days, evenings, and weekends, making your commitment easy to schedule.

· DCWP/OFE Volunteer In-Person Info Session on December 10th from 5:30pm - 6:30pm

· DCWP/OFE Volunteer Virtual Info Session on December 12 th from 5pm - 6pm
