Ushers: Must be friendly with good customer service skills. Help direct guests to their assigned seats as well as assist with the location of concessions, bathrooms, and emergency exits. Also, monitor theater doors so that no food is brought into the theater and that all beverages are in a lidded cup.

Concession Sales: Must be trained on using the iPad cash register (can be trained before the shift if interested). Handles all sales of concession items.

Concession Assistant: Takes customer order, and fills it and relays info to Concession Cashier.

About the show:

Elwood P. Dowd is kind, thoughtful, and friendly. He also claims to be best friends with an invisible 6-foot-tall rabbit named Harvey, whom he openly discusses with anyone and everyone. When his loving but frazzled sister and his frustrated niece come up with a plan to get him out of the way so they can live socially acceptable lives, things go hilariously off the rails in this show that delightfully skewers the concept of "normal" with a light but poignant touch.

Rating: Ages 10 and up

About CENTERSTAGE THEATRE ARTS CONSERVATORY INC

Location:

3200 SW Dash Point Rd, FEDERAL WAY, WA 98023, US

Mission Statement

Believing that theatre is an agent of challenge, change, and education, Centerstage Theatre presents and produces quality performances to enhance the lives of people and communities in Western Washington.

Description

Our Vision

Centerstage Theatre aspires to be a leading theatre in the Puget Sound region, with a reputation for innovative, accomplished productions of popular work and for new work with the widest possible audience appeal.

History

Sharon and Norm Munsey founded Centerstage in 1977. The company performed at various locations, including the Group Health Facility, until the mid-1980s. It was re-born in 1998 with the construction of the Knutzen Family Theatre still under the leadership of Sharon and Norm Munsey. The company also produced smaller cast plays in a 48-seat
studio facility at the Spectrum Business Park.

In February 2004, Alan Bryce replaced the retiring Munsey’s. Centerstage created a strategic plan later that year, re-vamped its artistic policy upgraded its corporate sponsorship programs, and made many moves to firm up its financial status, which included dropping classes from its operation.

In 2006, Centerstage produced four major shows at the Knutzen Family Theatre and five in 2007. In 2016 Angela Bayler came on as Managing Director, then Alan Bryce retired in 2017. Trista Duval took over as Artistic Director, and together with Angela they led Centerstage into crushing many former Centerstage records, such as highest ticket sales to a straight play and most season tickets subscriptions. Most recently, in 2020 they were voted the Best Local Arts Group in the Best Of Federal Way competition!
