Mentor a Young Person

Save to Favorites

ORGANIZATION: Idealist.org

Recruiting Organization: Volunteers of America, Utah

Our Amplified Mentoring Program supports positive youth development by connecting young people ages 10 through 17 with a one-to-one volunteer mentor. Reliable, caring relationships with adults provide youth with the supports they need to develop into successful members of our community. When youth know someone cares about them and recognizes their contributions, they are more likely to develop their skills, make healthy choices, and achieve self-sufficiency. Mentors must be at least 21 years old and willing to meet with a mentee for at least 6 to 8 hours a month for 9 months.
