The Love Story Media, Inc. is dedicated to fostering creativity, self-expression, and community engagement through the power of writing. Our workshops provide a supportive space where individuals from diverse backgrounds can explore their voice, feel and heal, while sharing their stories.

Position Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Writing Workshop Facilitator to lead weekly workshops for our participants. The facilitator will guide participants through writing exercises, encourage sharing, and resonating to help them develop their voice. If you have a love for storytelling, a desire to inspire others, and experience in leading groups, we’d love to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

• Facilitate a weekly 1-hour writing workshop for a group of participants three times a week.
• Facilitate with writing prompts, space to journal, and energy to inspire creativity.
• Provide constructive, supportive prompting to help participants on their writing.
• Foster a welcoming and inclusive environment where all participants feel valued.
• Offer guidance on writing prompts, style, and storytelling.
• Collaborate with the Writing Director to track participants' progress and address any challenges.
• Commit to 3 hours a week, including prep time, for the duration of 15-weeks.

Qualifications:

• Strong background in creative writing (fiction, poetry, memoir, etc.) or experience as a professional writer.
• Prior experience facilitating writing workshops or teaching writing.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to create an encouraging and supportive environment for writers of all skill levels.
• Commitment to fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion within the group.
• Passion for helping others express themselves through writing.
