A little about our organization: Companis is a nonprofit that matches skilled volunteer workers with other nonprofits in need. We are the safety net for the safety nets. We work with small nonprofits which serve our most vulnerable neighbors and make our community stronger. We feel honored to make these connections.
Current Volunteer Need: A local Everett nonprofit working to empower and elevate the lives of the most underserved in our community is looking for volunteer(s) to help run their weekly food bank. This food bank prioritizes offering culturally appropriate and fresh foods to the West African community. The Food Bank has two shifts of greatest need: 1. Thursdays any time from 9am-5pm to package foods bags based on weekly availability and 2. Fridays from 10am-2pm to distribute food to clients and families upon drop-in. This new food bank has already served 3500+ individuals in the community and is looking for support to assist them in reaching more neighbors.
For the volunteer: Companis supports prospective volunteers by finding the ideal fit for their time, energy, skills, and interests. We pride ourselves in working to ask the right questions and listen deeply to determine the best fit for all involved.
Reach out today to start a conversation! We would love to get to know you and connect you to partners in our community.

Mission Statement
To make our community healthier, safer, and more just by fostering skilled volunteer service. We build relationships and bridge the gap so that nonprofits can succeed in delivering vital services with the help of a Companis Worker.
Description
Companis has worked in Snohomish and King counties for nearly 30 years to match passionate volunteers with local nonprofit agencies in need. We ask the right questions and listen deeply to determine the right fit for both volunteer and agency.
As part of the Companis placement, you will meet with a Companis Program Manager to share your interests, skill sets, availability, and experience. The program manager will share additional information about available roles, local nonprofit agencies, and Companis expectations and training. Companis' goal is to find the right match for both our volunteer worker and the agency to ensure that you are supported the entire way!
