Volunteer At A Veterans Cemetery Workday
ORGANIZATION: Center for Volunteer & Nonprofit Leadership
Please visit the new page to apply.
Veterans' Cemetery was acquired in 1996 for the purpose of establishing a dedicated Veterans' Cemetery. The land was developed as such in an austere setting with a sculptured Star Fountain. The Veterans' Cemetery is approximately one acre in size.
Saturday Workdays: Join us for a cemetery volunteer workday on November 9, 2024, 9:00am-12:00 noon. Projects include cemetery beautification efforts such as weed abatement and landscaping projects, painting, repairing borders, restoring plots, and various maintenance work.
We understand everyone's schedule varies, and you're not obligated to commit to the entire three hours. Volunteers are welcome to join at their convenience and leave as necessary.
No previous experience is necessary - just bring your enthusiasm and willingness to lend a hand. Together, we can honor the memories of those who came before us and create a peaceful environment for visitors. Don't miss out on this rewarding opportunity to contribute to our community.

Mission Statement
We know that passion alone isn't enough when it comes to creating strong nonprofits. That's why we work with aspiring and established leaders every day to help them build the skills and connections that can take their impact to the next level. With confident and prepared leaders, our nonprofits will be better equipped to create healthy, happy communities. CVNL has engaged individuals in volunteerism continuously for more than 50 years and expanded to Napa county in July 2014. Every day, passionate individuals like you dedicate their work to advancing our communities, vulnerable populations, natural landscapes, and cultural institutions. But without the critical know-how in operational essentials like fundraising, board governance, and volunteer recruitment, their causes may fall short of their potential. CVNL brings local leaders the expert guidance and professional resources they need to build resilient, impactful organizations.
Description
CVNL envisions a community engaged in positive change and transformed by service. Our mission is to advance nonprofits and volunteerism by strengthening leadership, encouraging innovation and empowering individuals in our community.
