Recruiting English Tutors for Korean Adults and Seniors
Hanul Family Alliance is looking for volunteers who can teach speaking, listening, reading, writing, and general conversation for English language learners. Bring your energy and goodwill to Hanul to help support our local Korean American community!
Schedule:
- Tutoring is 1.5 hours a week (once a week for 1.5 hours)
Responsibilities and Requirements:
- Tutor English to non-native English-speaking adult learners Virtually : Zoom or Google Meet Link
- In-Person: Hanul offices, library, or another public location (private locations are not allowed)
- Hanul Chicago office: 5008 N Kedzie Ave
- Hanul Mt. Prospect office: 1166 S Elmhurst Rd
- Hanul Lincolnshire office: 300 Knightsbridge Pkwy, Ste 125
- All Hanul office hours are Mon-Fri 9 AM to 4 PM
- Class will be 1:1 or small group ESL class
- Minimum of 12-hours ESL tutor training required, training provided virtually and for free
- Create creative learning sessions
- Track students' progress and attendance
- Foster and grow intercultural relationships
- Must commit to a 10-week semester schedule of tutoring for 1.5 hours a week (15 hours)
- Knowledge of Korean is not required
