The Foster Coordinator is responsible for the recruitment and onboarding of new volunteer fosters. The Foster Coordinator is an integral part of our team and ensures that fosters receive the support they need to be successful.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Review and process foster applications according to guidelines
- Provide onboarding and training for new volunteer fosters
- Develop and implement recruitment strategies
- Collaborate with Foster Manager to ensure success of fosters
- The estimated time commitment is 2-3 hours per week.
Qualifications
- Access to computer and cell phone
- Ability to respond to emails within 48 hours
- Exemplary customer service and communication skills
- Experience with Gmail and Google products is a plus
- Experience with Animal Shelter Manager is a plus. Training will be provided

Ten Lives Cat Rescue is committed to saving homeless, abused, and abandoned cats by providing veterinary care, rehabilitation services, and then placing them into loving adoptive homes. We are dedicated to giving a second chance to those who have been forgotten: seniors, the physically and emotionally scarred, the behaviorally challenged, and those who need critical medical care. Along with our immediate mission to rescue cats, Ten Lives is dedicated to educating communities about cat overpopulation and inspiring change.
Description
Ten Lives Cat Rescue is a 501(c)(3), nonprofit organization located in Rhode Island. We are dedicated to providing dignity to cats in our community while reducing the stray cat population and inspiring change. Ten Lives was founded in 2018 and has provided vital services to more than 2,000 cats and facilitated nearly 1,400 adoptions. Our foster-based program is 100% volunteer-powered and community supported. All of our vital life-saving funds come from generous supporters who believe in our mission statement.
