Mission Statement

To support every child’s right to learn and develop through the power of play.

Founded in 2017, The Power of Play has built over 40 innovative playgrounds in 8 countries and has provided 40,000 children that have experienced extreme levels of stress and hardship, such as refugees, victims of human trafficking, victims of gender-based violence, orphans and others, the opportunity to rediscover childhood and heal through play. Approximately 50% of the playgrounds are built from recycled material, and all projects count on rich collaboration with local communities for volunteering and funding.

The Power of Play builds sustainable playgrounds for children in need of a space to play freely all around the globe. Its mission is to support every child’s right to learn and develop through the power of play by creating a safe, loving and fun environment that allows children to do what they do best - Play! Play is not only vital in childhood development, but it is their right as declared in Article 31 of the U.N. Convention on the Rights of the Child.
