Job Summary:
Seeking a motivated Part-Time Coordinator to join the Kalmat Foundation. Responsible for planning and executing fundraising events to support underprivileged children in Sri Lanka. Background in relevant field and 2+ years of non-profit event planning and fundraising experience required.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and coordinate fundraising events with the board of directors.
- Create and manage a calendar of fundraising initiatives.
- Identify grant opportunities and manage the application process.
- Cultivate relationships with donors, sponsors, and partners.
- Coordinate digital marketing strategies with social media manager, event logistics, and volunteer recruitment.
- Track fundraising progress and prepare reports.
- Collaborate with board members on fundraising strategies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required.
- 2+ years of non-profit event planning and fundraising experience.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with grant writing and fundraising strategies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.

Our initial focus is on addressing poverty and lack of access to education in Sri Lanka, where 24.7% of the population has only a fifth-grade education.
