The Westwind Riding Institute program provides riding classes for children with disabilities. Volunteer opportunities include leading horses, sidewalking, and more.
Our program helps children build confidence, develop balance and coordination, and strengthen muscles while having fun on horseback.
Open to students (ages 14 & up) and adults.
No experience required. Students can receive community service credits.
Volunteers are the backbone of our program! If you would like to help, contact westwindriding@gmail.com

Westwind Riding Institute, a non-profit organization, provides therapeutic horseback riding lessons for physically disabled children.
Description
Therapeutic horseback riding builds confidence and self-esteem, develops coordination and balance, affords freedom of mobility, and offers outdoor fun. Classes are held Mondays and Fridays from 4:00 to 5:00 PM.
