"Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Social Media Manager & WhatsApp Group Moderator to join our team. This volunteer role is crucial in maintaining our online presence, engaging our community, and ensuring a positive and productive environment within our WhatsApp group.
Key Responsibilities:
Social Media Management:
Develop and implement a social media strategy to enhance the organization's online presence.
Create, curate, and schedule engaging content across various platforms (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram).
Monitor social media channels for feedback, comments, and messages, responding in a timely and professional manner.
Track and analyze social media metrics to gauge the success of campaigns and strategies.
WhatsApp Group Moderation:
Manage the Harvard in Tech WhatsApp group, ensuring adherence to group guidelines and policies.
Facilitate meaningful discussions and encourage member participation.
Address any conflicts or issues promptly and diplomatically.
Share relevant information, events, and updates within the group.
Community Engagement:
Foster a welcoming and inclusive environment for all members.
Engage with the community to understand their interests and needs.
Organize and promote virtual and in-person events to strengthen community bonds.
Content Creation:
Develop high-quality, engaging content that reflects the values and mission of Harvard in Tech.
Collaborate with other team members to produce multimedia content, including graphics, videos, and articles.
Collaboration:
Work closely with the Board of Directors and other volunteers to align social media and group moderation efforts with organizational goals.
Provide regular updates and reports on social media and group activity to the team."
"Qualifications:
Proven experience in social media management and content creation.
Strong understanding of social media platforms and trends.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage and moderate online communities with diplomacy and tact.
Creative thinking and the ability to generate innovative ideas.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Familiarity with the Harvard community or a strong interest in technology and networking is a plus."
