Mission Statement

Mission Statement: Stop the Silence Foundation is a nonprofit organization that envisions a world where domestic violence victims find solace and support at a sanctuary where women, children, and their pets can seek refuge. Our mission is to provide a self-sufficient farm, complete with housing and a workforce, to empower survivors to rebuild their lives with substantial income. Through comprehensive programs addressing abuse recognition, trauma healing, legal guidance, and financial recovery, we aim to equip individuals with the tools needed to break free from abusive relationships.

Description

- Goal Outline for DV Foundation:

1. Secure Land Donation in Hampstead, NC:
- Identify donors for land donation.
- Plan location and amenities for tiny home community.

2. Build Tiny Home Community for DV Survivors:
- Develop construction plan with budget and permits.
- Collaborate with architects and builders.

3. Establish Farm:
- Create sustainable farming initiative.
- Partner with local experts for success.

4. Provide Daycare and Clothing Store:
- Secure grants for daycare and clothing store.
- Design trauma-informed programming for children.
- Offer clothing and essential items for survivors.

5. Offer Comprehensive Support Services:
- Provide counseling, business classes, training, and self-defense.
- Assist with legal matters, escape plans, and rebuilding lives.

6. Build Supportive Community Environment:
- Create a holistic community for survivors and families.
- Collaborate with partners for awareness and advocacy.

By integrating daycare services, a clothing store, and holistic support services, the DV Foundation aims to empower survivors and create a supportive environment for them to rebuild their lives and break the cycle of abuse. Through strategic planning, partnerships, and grant funding, the foundation can further its impact and support survivors' needs in a comprehensive and sustainable manner.
