OVERVIEW Asian Connections Hub (ACH) is a non-profit organization committed to promoting mental health and well-being through innovative technology solutions. As part of our Sunnyside division, we operate the Sunnyside mental health app, providing accessible support and resources to the Asian and BIPOC communities. Our mission is to break down barriers to mental health care and empower individuals to lead healthier, happier lives.

OVERVIEW We are seeking a dedicated and organized Product Manager to join Asian Connections Hub. you will play a crucial role in shaping and enhancing our digital platform to meet the needs of our diverse user base. You will be responsible for leading the development and evolution of our website and other digital products, ensuring they align with our mission, values, and community's requirements. The successful candidate will combine strategic thinking, technical acumen, and user-centric mindset to drive the continuous improvement of our online platform and maximize its impact.

You will be assigned to work on our Sunnyside, mental health app.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Product Strategy
    • Collaborate with the leadership team to define and execute the product vision, strategy, and roadmap. Understand user needs, market trends, and competitive landscape to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.

  • Requirements Gathering
    • Work closely with stakeholders, community members, and user groups to gather insights, feedback, and requirements to inform product decisions. Conduct surveys, user interviews, and data analysis to understand user behaviors and pain points.

  • Product Development
    • Manage the entire product development lifecycle, from ideation to launch. Define product specifications, create wireframes and prototypes, and collaborate with designers and developers to deliver high-quality features and enhancements.

  • User Experience
    • Champion a user-centric approach in product development. Continuously analyze user feedback and behavior to optimize user experience and ensure that the website remains user-friendly, accessible, and intuitive.

  • Cross-Functional Collabs
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, engineering, content, and marketing, to align product development efforts and ensure timely and successful launches.

  • Quality Assurance
    • Oversee product testing and quality assurance to identify and resolve any issues or bugs that may arise during development.

  • Data-Driven Decision-Making
    • Utilize data analytics and user insights to make informed decisions, measure product performance, and identify opportunities for improvement.

  • Project Management
    • Effectively manage project timelines, milestones, and budgets to ensure successful product releases.

  • Compliance and Accessibility
    • Ensure all products comply with relevant regulations, accessibility standards, and privacy policies.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience as a Product Manager or similar role, preferably in the tech industry or non-profit sector.

  • Strong understanding of website development, user experience design, and agile product management methodologies.

  • Familiarity with data analytics tools and the ability to derive insights from user data to drive product decisions.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.

  • Passion for the mission of Asian Connections Hub and a genuine interest in building a positive impact within the community.

  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Knowledge of Asian cultures is a plus but not required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience as a Product Manager (1-2 years of experience or 6+ months)

  • Strong understanding of website development, user experience design, and agile product management methodologies.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.

EXPECTATIONS

  • This is a volunteer role; we’re asking for 3-5 hours/week max to contribute no volunteer should be exceeding these hours without communication to their manager

  • Must attend meetings for team meetings and 1:1s

  • Communication is key and participation is required to commit to the project

  • Launching Sunnyside (mental health app) later in 2024 or early 2025
