Come support Allies for Every Child’s 31st Annual Children’s Arts Festival.

About the Event:
Allies for Every Child is hosting its annual Children's Arts Festival on October 19, 2024 from 11 AM to 2 PM. It will feature performers, community resources, games, activities, and so much more! This event is open to all of the families we serve as well as the rest of the community.

About the Volunteer Role:
Allies seeks volunteer support for various tasks including but not limited to: set up, decoration, leading art activities, leading carnival games, serving snacks and food, operating the popcorn machine, directing traffic, clean up and take down, and more.

Mission Statement

Allies for Every Child works to ensure that every child has a safe and nurturing environment and the support necessary to grow, learn and thrive. Allies supports under-served, vulnerable children and their families in southwest Los Angeles County by providing a full range of crucial, multidisciplinary services, including child development (early care and education and special needs) and child welfare (foster care and adoption, family support, family preservation, infant and family mental health, health consultation and referrals).

Allies for Every Child has a variety of volunteer opportunities to fit your interests. See below for a sampling: - Classroom Helpers in our preschool and toddler classrooms - Administrative projects, filling, data entry, etc; - Weekend events, large and small - Holiday gift wrapping - Toy drives - Childcare during several parenting classes and meetings - Help maintaining our organic children learning garden - The list goes on!

REQUIREMENTS

  • This is a Done in a Day opportunity and there is no prior training or ongoing commitment needed.
  • Must be at least 12
  • All volunteers must sign a volunteer agreement form (provided by Volunteer Coordinator). For any volunteers between 12-16, a guardian/parent must sign the volunteer agreement for intended volunteer and also be present during the volunteer session.
