AT Choice Hospice we believe in helping relieve the pressure of patients/ family members with basic tasks helping them live the best life theycan for their whole life.

If you are a compassionate person who could volunteer then perhaps this would be a good fit. 1-2 hours a week or every other week.

We will sign you on, have you follow through our simple orientation and then get you ready to serve in a great capacity.

Things that volunteers can do-

  1. Sit with a patient
  2. Read to a patient
  3. Play simple card games
  4. Play relevant music for the patient from their favorite music era
  5. Write a letter for them
  6. Organize their area
  7. Straighten their area
  8. Sing, play the guitar for the patient
  9. Tell funny stories
  10. Be a compassionate presence

Simple things that you can do that will make the difference for someon who can't do those things.

Email me or Text me. I would love to meet you!

Mission Statement

To enhance the life of every patient we serve in the pursuit of delivering excellent healthcare.

Description

Hospice is a patient-centered approach to improve the quality of life and provide compassionate support for patients and families. Hospice care is focused on maintaining dignity and providing comfort, including pain and symptom management at the end of life when a cure is no longer possible. Also called palliative care, hospice involves the aggressive treatment of physical and emotional pain and symptoms. Hospice affirms life, improves comfort, and does not hasten or postpone death.
