Unfortunately, we have many clients on the waitlist. I've noticed that so many of them used to play Mahjong and as they are now homebound, cannot play anymore. My vision is to find a group of 3 kindhearted Mahjong players who would visit some of these clients and make their Mahjong dreams come true. I do understand that this is a large undertaking so I am only asking for your time once a month per client. All of our clients reside in Eastern Queens (so far the ones interested in Mahjong are in Bayside and Douglaston). Services Now for Adult Persons, Inc. has accepted the challenge of being dedicated to the needs of older adults. SNAP provides direct services to enhance their quality of life. We also provide coordination of case plans, advocacy and linkages to community resources to assist our clients and to prevent premature institutionalization
Services Now for Adult Persons Volunteer program is two-fold.
1. We help active senior citizens find volunteer opportunities in the community.
2. We recruit any age volunteers to assist homebound and more frail senior citizens in their every day needs. From just having tea and chatting to shoveling snow, all volunteers are so welcome and so appreciated.
