The University Health Fleet Services department needs your help! The shift is Tuesdays and Thursdays 9:30am-1:30pm.

We are in need of a volunteer porter to assist with:

Essential Functions:
* Maintain automobile cleanliness by washing and vacuuming as needed
* Pick up ordered parts as needed
* Assist with dropping off/picking up vehicles for regular maintenance (i.e., oil changes, tire rotations, etc.)
* Move vehicles between locations as needed

Qualifications:

have basic knowledge of automobile maintenance (i.e., how to check the oil, recognize service
lights, etc.)
* have a valid Texas driver’s license
* have a clean driving record
* have knowledge of, and perform, the AIDET model
* adhere to the 4 the Customer standards
* be personable, patient, observant, and engaging
* have strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills
* adhere to UH policies and respect confidentiality
* have the ability to speak and read English
* complete tasks under the direction of the department staff as requested
* refrain from activities that may cause a distraction, such as texting or use of other electronic devices
* support University Health’s mission, vision, and values
* treat all customers with compassion, courtesy, dignity, respect, and professionalism

Working Conditions:
Volunteers may be
* required to sit for extended periods of time, walk long distances, and lift up to 20 lbs.
* exposed to harsh weather conditions (i.e., heat, cold, rain, etc.)
