See your design come to life while making a difference! We are looking for a landscape Archietct to help create one or more spaces in a farm park for the community. You will have your choice of areas to design which include things like botanical garden, zen gardens, dog park, nature trails, mushroom and forest learning center, butterfly conservation area, bird migration habitat, farm fields, and other areas.

This opportunity qualifies for community service.

Our Mission: The preservation of small farms by providing a space for the community and new farmers to learn historic and modern farm practices and protect the land and it's resources. The community, families and individuals are an essential part of keeping small farms going in their community. Participating in farm events, volunteering, donating or simply buying produce from community farms and local farmers are ways to help.

Description

This includes supporting programs in areas related to a successful small farm such as:1) Water, soil, land, bee, and animal conservation2) Passing along knowledge of growing to local individuals and beginning farmers through tours, demonstrations and classes.3) Supporting small farmers so they have the tools and living and work conditions which support the longevity of small farms4) Connecting the community to the land through events, classes, volunteering and lifetime memory experiences so they are invested in wanting to participating in saving small farms5) Holding special events and programs such as a Kids Farmers Market, Bee Conservation learning, historic farm museum and buildings, etc.
