Join the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service volunteer team at the Wolf Creek National Fish Hatchery! We are seeking a couple, one to help with fish production and the other to help in visitor services.
We are currently seeking a 2-person team to help staff our Center and to assist with fish production duties for October -December 2025. This volunteer/team would split hours at 50% Visitor Center (mainly indoors) and 50% fish production (mainly outdoors), working 16-20 hours each respectively.
In exchange for an average of 16-20 hours/person/week, work camper volunteers receive a full hook up (FHU) deluxe campsite-- level gravel lot, picnic table, fire ring; 50-30 amp service, water and sewer hook ups. Onsite laundry, ice machine and WiFi (some campers do require a booster for connection). Complimentary propane offered during winter months. Some of the nicest campsites around!

The agency includes both the National Wildlife Refuge System and the National Fish Hatchery System.
The Service's origins date back to 1871 when Congress established the U.S. Fish Commission to study the decrease in the nation’s food fishes and recommend ways to reverse that decline. (More on our history below.) Today, we are a diverse and largely decentralized organization, employing about 8,000 dedicated professionals working out of facilities across the country.
