Challenging people with disabilities to discover their purpose, talents, and strengths through the transforming power of adventure.

At Waypoint Adventure, we recognize the willful spirit inside each of us, and we help unleash it. Free it. We see adventure as a teacher, one that breathes confidence into us all. Once you’ve taken on that challenge of adventure... you’ll begin to invite opportunities that can change the way you think and transform your life. Where "I can’t" becomes "Yes, I can", Waypoint Adventure is here to help free what’s possible.

Join us on an fall foliage bike ride along on Friday, 10/18! Together, we’ll explore the scenic Neponset River Rail Trail.

We’ll pair up two riders-a Captain, who leads, and a Stoker, who teams up for the adventure. Whether it's on our traditional upright bikes, side-by-side models, or recumbent tandems, we’ll match riders to the perfect setup for a fun and successful ride. Some bikes are built for balance and teamwork, while others offer extra stability with supportive seating. Participants and volunteers are encouraged to pack a lunch and enjoy their time together on the trail and during breaks.

Ready for awesome cycling experience and build teamwork along the way? Join us on October 18th!

Volunteers are the people who enable Waypoint Adventure to fulfill its mission. Each volunteer is an invaluable part of this organization. No prior experience required, but trainings offered periodically. By volunteering on programs or around the office, you help challenge people with disabilities to discover their purpose, potential, and abilities through the transforming power of adventure!

Mission Statement

Waypoint’s mission is to challenge youth and adults with disabilities to discover their purpose, talents and strengths through the transforming power of adventure.

Description

Waypoint Adventure is a non-profit organization that runs adventure education programs for people with disabilities. We work with all ages and all ability levels. We run 11 different program types: indoor/outdoor rock climbing, indoor/outdoor kayaking, canoeing, hiking, snowshoeing, backpacking, cycling, cross-country skiing, ropes courses, and team building. We collaborate with school groups, social service organizations, families and individuals to design programs that meet their goals and objectives. These programs are not just about having fun on a boat ride, climbing high on a rock or sliding down a zip line. They are about positive individual and group development. They’re about building social and character skills and transforming people’s views of themselves and their abilities.

Waypoint’s vision is that all people, regardless of ability, will have opportunities for adventure; through adventure, people realize their personal value, strengths and abilities and ultimately become stronger individuals and community members.
