Bristol Hospice provides end of life care, and volunteers are intergral parts of the teams that care for each patient.
Hospice volunteers can also work in the agency office doing various support projects.
Your volunteer time is flexible and valued! When you are a part of the Bristol Voluteer Team, you receive training, support, a network of fellow volunteers and staff, and the knowledge that you have comforted someone on their final journey. Bilingual a plus!
At Bristol, we care deeply about our community and those we serve. We are actively seeking volunteers and Vocal and/or Guitar musicians to hold space and offer music at end-of life for patients and families.
Hearing is believed to be the sense that remains with us until "the end". The gift of music to those at end-of-life can be incredibly impactful. Allowing someone to journey to a special time and place, recall a beautiful memory, or calming and relaxing them is a gift you as a musician can share. We at Bristol Hospice welcome you to join patients and families in sharing moments of joy and peace as the patient transitions from this earthly life.
If this sounds like what you're looking for, get in touch! We can't wait to meet you.

Mission Statement
Mission: Bristol Hospice is graciously committed to our mission that all patients and families entrusted to our care will be treated with the highest level of compassion, respect, and quality of care.
Description
Description:
Bristol Hospice provides hospice services to meet the physical, psycho-social, and spiritual needs of individuals at the end of life. We focus on an individualized plan of care which may include, as appropriate, the following services: nursing, physicians, hospice aides, spiritual support, therapy, dietary, counseling, volunteers, durable medical equipment, supplies, bereavement services and medications related to the terminal illness.
Volunteers are an important part of the hospice model. Volunteers provide special compassionate presence and support to our patients and family in ways that only a volunteer can. When a volunteer visits a patient, they are visiting the patient because they want to be there. It's not a job or an obligation. That is a powerful action for our patients and families!
