Welcome volunteers to our Duarte ReStore Clean Up Day!
After our Duarte location is officially closed there will still be lots of work that needs to be done! Volunteers are need to assist ReStore staff as we clear out the store and prepare items to be moved to Pasadena.
This is a great way to contribute to Habitats mission if building isnt your thing. After all, the proceeds from our stores directly fund our home building work. Join other community members and community groups as we say goodbye to our Duarte ReStore.

Families and individuals in your community in need of a hand up partner with San Gabriel Valley Habitat for Humanity to build or improve a place they can call home. Habitat homeowners help build their own homes alongside volunteers and pay an affordable mortgage. With our help, Habitat homeowners achieve the strength, stability, and independence they need to build a better life for themselves and their families. Through shelter, we empower. Through volunteer labor and tax-deductible donations of money and materials, Habitat builds and rehabilitates simple, decent houses with the help of the homeowner (partner) families. Habitat houses are sold to partner families at no profit and financed with affordable, no-interest loans. The homeowners' monthly mortgage payments go into a revolving Fund for Humanity that is used to build more houses. Habitat is not a give-away program. In addition to a 1% down payment and monthly mortgage payments, each homeowner family invests 500 hours of their own labor -- sweat-equity -- into the building of their house and the houses of others.
