Event Overview:
Join us in celebrating the Halloween season at the Haunted Harvest Movie Nights at Saint Lucie Farm Preserve! We need enthusiastic volunteers to help prepare the farm for a series of fun-filled nights featuring classic Halloween movies, a pumpkin patch, and exciting seasonal activities.
Volunteer Roles:
- Farm Preparation & Decoration: Help us get the farm ready for the season by assisting with decorating and preparing the grounds for the festivities.
- Pumpkin Patch Helpers: We need volunteers to assist with managing the pumpkin patch, helping families pick their perfect pumpkins!
- Event Assistance & Clean-Up: Volunteers are needed to help during the movie nights and assist with post-event clean-up to ensure the farm stays beautiful.
Event Dates:
- Friday, 10/4: Halloweentown
- Saturday, 10/5: Hocus Pocus
- Friday, 10/11: Beetlejuice
- Friday, 10/18: The Nightmare Before Christmas
- Friday, 10/25: Haunted Mansion

Stabilize our structures, Revitalize our neighborhoods, and Build our real estate tax base. To facilitate the development of a viable urban community, including fair housing and a suitable living environment, for persons of very low to moderate-income, as well as stabilize and revitalize small businesses. The elimination of blighted structures and vacant lots gives our community residents visible signs of positive change and creates hope and empowerment to work toward continuous improvement. To advance the academic, physical, and social development of our youth. To use Arts & Music to catalyze enduring change in learning and the well-being of the youth as well as the whole community. One of the missions of Stabilize Revitalize Fort Pierce is to provide children living in the community with a place worthy of calling home.
Description
Stabilize Revitalize Fort Pierce (SRFP) is a nonprofit organization that was founded in 2022 by a group of community members who are passionate about revitalizing the city of Fort Pierce, Florida. The organization's mission is to stabilize and revitalize the city by transforming distressed properties into safe, functional, and beautiful spaces that can be enjoyed by all residents. SRFP's goals include improving the quality of life for residents, reducing blight and crime, increasing property values, and fostering community pride and involvement. The organization achieves these goals through a variety of programs and initiatives, including: Neighborhood Cleanups: SRFP organizes regular cleanups in neighborhoods throughout the city to remove trash, debris, and overgrowth from vacant lots and abandoned properties. Property Rehabilitation: The organization partners with local contractors and volunteers to rehabilitate distressed properties, including repairing roofs, replacing windows and doors, and painting and landscaping. Youth Education and Engagement: SRFP aims to engage youth in the community by providing educational opportunities, such as workshops on financial literacy and entrepreneurship, and by organizing events and activities that promote community involvement. .

REQUIREMENTS
- This is a Done in a Day opportunity and there is no prior training or ongoing commitment needed.
- Must be at least 18
- Farm Prep/Decor: Flexible shifts, 2-4 hours, between now and 10/3. Pumpkin Patch/Event Assistance: Shifts from 5 PM - 9 PM on event days. Clean-Up: Shifts from 5 PM - 10 PM, clean-up takes about 1 hour post-event.
- Volunteers must be 16+ years old or accompanied by an adult. Must be able to lift light items (decor, pumpkins, etc.). Comfortable working outdoors. Closed-toe shoes required for safety.
