Our mission are to preserve the asian hertiage and culture; to improve on Chinatown's streetscape, cleanliness and safety; to promote the Chinese tradition and attacts hundred of thousands of visitors and locals to eat, shop, and explor the neighborhood

Mission Statement

The Chinatown Business Improvement Area’s mission is to provide Chinatown with a comprehensive, complete and coordinated organization for the area’s property and business owners so as to lobby local and central government for the well-being of the community.

Description

Located in the midst of the Chinese business community, in the heart of bustling downtown Toronto, the Chinatown Business Improvement Area (CBIA) is a vital not-for-profit agency of the City of Toronto representing the area’s interests. Chinatown is a vibrant neighborhood with a mixture of harmonious multi-culturism. It is home to various ethnic Chinese immigrants from Hong Kong, China, Taiwan, Vietnam; as well as, South East Asians such as Pakistani and Indian. Toronto Chinatown’s boundaries are west of Beverley Street and east of Augusta Avenue on Dundas Street West, and south of College Street and north of Queen Street on Spadina Avenue. The area attracts many tourists to Toronto as its colors, scents, noise and warm natured people are an attraction for both visitors and residents alike.
