Duties - Provide visitors with information concerning Corps Recreation Areas. Twice daily check park grounds, campsites, shelters, restrooms, playgrounds, and utilities for signs of vandalism, water leaks, hazard trees, etc. Keep in mind the safety of our visitors. Notify Corps personnel promptly if any problems are seen. While on your shift you are required to stay overnight in the park.
Work Environment - Working in the gatehouse while also overseeing campsites, playgrounds, and pavilions.
Outside the gatehouse, you'll conduct routine inspections of the campsites, playgrounds, restrooms , pavilions to ensure they are clean, safe, and well-maintained. Working with USACE Rangers
Qualifications - Attentive, friendly, and accommodating. Portray a positive image of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Training will be provided. Work will be performed according to safety guidelines provided by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
Requirements - All work campers/park hosts will be subject to a background check before starting duties in the gatehouse. The US Army Corps of Engineers require a background check.
