This is a daytime only volunteer position. The Red Door Food Pantry is seeking a few volunteers who can help us load and unload our delivery truck every third Friday of the month. A dolly will be available as well as wagons to help lighten the workload. We load the food needed for our food pantry at Second Harvest every third Friday and we meet back at the pantry to unload the food. Donuts and drinks are provided for each volunteer!
There are multiple volunteers who will be helping with the loading and unloading. The entire process only takes a couple of hours. This position is for those 18 and older only. Volunteers will need to be able to bend and lift 20+ pounds but this work can be done by most able bodied adults.
I hope you will decide to take a chance and volunteer for a good cause. The families that come to our pantry depend on the food arriving on time each month.

We at St John’s Episcopal Church aim to help the food and hunger crisis in The Mahoning Valley. The Red Door Food Pantry serves over 55 families each month in Youngstown, Ohio by offering fresh produce and dry goods to those in need.
