About REFUGIA MARIN

Location:

88 WILTSHIRE AVE, LARKSPUR, CA 94939, US

Mission Statement

Refugia Marin is a nonprofit that creates thriving habitats for local pollinators and wildlife. We restore neglected public land in Marin County with native plant habitats, promoting biodiversity, reducing water usage, and fostering environmental stewardship. In partnership with like-minded organizations, we educate the community on sustainable gardening and creating beautiful landscapes for all to cherish.

Description

We formed in 2022 to improve the local environment for pollinators and wildlife. Since then we've already completed Phase 1 and 2 of a landscaping rehabilitation in Town Park Corte Madera in California, and we are currently raising funds for Phase 3 which will complete the project. We are also working with schools to improve their landscapes, and educate students and partners on how to care for the plants going forward.
We are 100% volunteer-led and are always looking for like-minded individuals to help us plant, weed and take care of our rehabilitation sites.
Your help will help improve the local environment, by bringing in local pollinators and wildlife. And create a beautiful sanctuary for humans to also enjoy!
