Join us for a trail maintenance day while we work on the 2-mile section of Wilderness Road Trail between the Gibson Station Park & Ride and the National Park trail across from Boone's gas station.
This trail is an essential link between the Wilderness Road State Park and the Cumberland Gap National Historic Park.
What will volunteers do?We will be focusing on the section closest to Boone's gas station. Weeds need to be trimmed and trail tread work is needed on the hill.
What will volunteers need to bring or wear?Please wear long pants and closed toed shoes. Don't forget your work gloves!

The Cumberland Gap Trail Alliance is working to bring together trail organizations, parks, local communities and volunteers to coordinate, promote, educate and expand outdoor recreation opportunities in the area surrounding the Cumberland Gap.
The Cumberland Gap Trail Alliance was formed to bring together trail organizations that are converging on Cumberland Gap and the community around the historic landmark. Through this alliance, we hope to promote trails and outdoor recreation in our area, provide educational opportunities and help build and maintain the trails we all enjoy.
