A Welcoming Hand is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that supports the unhoused community. If you are currently a student, you can become chapter president by starting a club for A Welcoming Hand at your school. If you are not a student you can start a chapter in your local area and gather friends, family, or volunteers to support your mission.

As chapter president you will be hosting donation drives, fundraisers, as well as assembling care packages. You will need to appoint officers that will support you along the way; some reccomended officer positions are treasurer, secretary, and vice president.

Be ready to connect with shelters, companies, or other organizations to support your chapter. A large part of our organization's mission is connecting people with resources. Find ways that you can utilize your chapter as a place to share and offer people resources.
