Africa? Garizim Foundation, a dedicated non-profit association based in Cameroon,
invites talented individuals to join us in our mission to promote access to education
for youth in the northern region of Cameroon.


About Garizim Foundation: Garizim Foundation is committed to breaking barriers
and creating opportunities for underserved youth in Cameroon. We strive to
empower youth to reach their full potential and build brighter futures through
literacy programs, child sponsorship, educational talks and workshops.


Volunteer Role: Website Developer
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Volunteer Web Developer to join our team
and collaborate with our Volunteer Web Designer to complete the development of our website. Your primary responsibility will be to help rebuild and revamp our website, enhancing its functionality, performance, and user experience. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a meaningful cause while honing your web development skills.


Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with the Volunteer Web Designer to implement design
concepts and user interfaces.
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
- Ensure the website is responsive and optimized for various devices and
browsers.
- Integrate necessary APIs and third-party services.
- Conduct thorough testing and debugging.
- Provide technical support and documentation as needed.

Requirements:

- Commitment to our mission and values
- Experience with basic web development languages (like HTML, CSS, and
JavaScript).
- Knowledge of back-end development (like working with databases).
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git); experience with React and CMS
- Understanding of basic SEO
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Previous experience in web development projects.

Garizim Foundation is a youth-led association aimed at contributing to the education and welfare of less privileged youths, as well as promoting volunteerism amongst youths. We focus on the less privileged youths of the Northern regions of Cameroon, where underdevelopment, poverty, and low levels of education are a limit to youths achieving their dreams. Our programs and activities are designed to be a catalyst that helps underprivileged populations reach their goals and fulfill their potential.
