Volunteer with Hospice Patients and Families. With Gentiva Hospice we provide excellent care so patients and families can make the most of every moment. Gentiva Hospice Cinncinnati is welcoming new volunteers to provide companionship and social support. With Gentiva, you have the ability to brighten someone's day with your most valuable tool, YOUR TIME! Read someone a book or magazine, play a game, listen to music together, watch a favorite sports game, pray with them, engage with crafts, or spend time outside to enjoy the sunshine. Sometimes just your caring presence, and a smile is enough to bring comfort and joy to someone during a fragile time in their life.
We have patients in nursing facilities and homes throughout Hamilton, Butler, and Clermont counties. We will work to find an opportunity near you. We pride ourselves in equipping our volunteers with tools they need to be successful and allow volunteers to collaborate with patients with scheduling that is highly flexible. We want volunteering to be easy and convenient for you! We truly believe that not only our patients and families receive positive support from your time, but that you will feel accomplished and joyful after a companionship visit. You do not need to have any experience or a specific skill set, we will provide all necessary training.
