The Assistant Treasurer will be responsible for managing the organization’s incoming financial transactions. This includes depositing checks in a timely manner, accurately recording all deposits in the organization's financial records, and maintaining detailed and organized documentation. Additionally, the Assistant Treasurer will prepare and send personalized thank-you letters for contributions received. Attention to detail, organizational skills, and effective communication are essential for this position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deposit incoming checks and ensure timely processing.
• Record and track financial transactions with accuracy.
• Maintain clear and organized financial documentation.
• Draft and send thank-you letters to donors.
• Assist the Treasurer with additional financial tasks as needed.

Ideal Candidate:

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Experience with basic financial recording and bookkeeping.
• Excellent written communication skills.
• Located close to Port Jefferson to be able to deposit checks and pick up from local post office on occasion.
