For nine magical days each year, the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta(r) draws tens of thousands of visitors to experience the beauty our city has to offer. If you would like to help share all that is good about Albuquerque and ballooning, volunteer at the Balloon Museum during Fiesta, lifting hearts and spirits as we open our doors to visitors from around the world.

During each session of Balloon Fiesta, the Balloon Museum Foundation hosts fundraising dining events on the upper deck of the Museum for a VIP viewing experience. Volunteer positions include guest check-in, dining room hostess, courtesy shuttle driver, greeter, gift shoppe support and more.

Attendance at a volunteer training and orientation required. Free parking and refreshments provided.

Those who volunteer for two or more shifts receive a commemorative t-shirt and a pass to attend Fiesta.

Mission Statement

The Mission of the Anderson-Abruzzo International Balloon Museum Foundation is to raise funds, foster public recognition and provide and build membership for the Anderson-Abruzzo Albuquerque International Balloon Museum.

Description

In 1978, Albuquerque balloonists Ben Abruzzo and Maxie Anderson, along with partner Larry Newman, made history when they completed the first non-stop crossing of the Atlantic Ocean by gas balloon. Now, a museum named in their honor is making history in Albuquerque.

The Anderson-Abruzzo Albuquerque International Balloon Museum is the world's premiere facility dedicated to the art, culture, science, history, sport and spectacle of ballooning. It features one of the finest collections of ballooning equipment and memorabilia in the world.
