Help Fairfax City plant trees across our parks and natural areas.

Stewarding, Planting, Restoring Our Urban Trees (SPROUT) is a new city initiative to encourage members of our community plant, care for, and learn about the trees that make up our urban forest. With funding from a USDA Forest Service grant, SPROUT supports efforts to plant trees on public and private property, remove invasive plants from our parks, and otherwise engage volunteers in activities that ensure the benefits of a healthy tree canopy can be enjoyed by all Fairfax residents and city visitors for years to come. Learn more: fairfaxva.gov/trees

By participating in a city-sponsored tree planting, your City of Fairfax household is eligible for stormwater utility (SWU) credit through the city's Trees, Litter, and Creeks (TLC) Community Stewardship Program. Volunteers younger than age 13 must be accompanied by an adult. For any service hour requirements, please bring your form to the event.
