Exciting news! Volunteer registration for the Jazz Lab Mobile Pilot Program is now open, and we’re looking for dedicated individuals to join us in October and November. If you’re passionate about working with young people and excited about blending jazz, science, and creativity, we’d love to have you on board!

Mission Statement
A Tribe for Jazz is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit whose mission is to preserve the legacy and advance the future of jazz through visual storytelling, live and virtual performances, education, and community engagement.
Description
A Tribe for Jazz's Goals is to promote cultural competence and awareness through jazz, foster community engagement, and support social-emotional learning in young people through music and arts education, and build a platform that bridges the gap between jazz heritage and new creative expressions.
Programs
Jazz Lab(tm): A dynamic STEM + jazz program that connects music with scientific principles like sound, vibration, and resonance, designed to develop 21st-century skills in middle school students.
Live Performances: We host performances that showcase accomplished and emerging jazz artists and highlight jazz's richness and diversity.
Transformative Conversations: We collaborate with institutions like Denison Edge and Capital University to host events that foster cultural understanding and social equity.

- As a Jazz Lab™ volunteer, you'll work alongside students (our Jazz Lab Techs) during hands-on projects to encourage and inspire! Your role also includes helping to set up and tear down, distribute lab coats, and keep the space clear.
