Although a blanket may seem simple, it holds profound significance for many seniors who struggle to stay warm during colder months. A new, cozy blanket not only offers physical warmth but also symbolizes the care and concern of our community, reminding them that they are not forgotten during this often-lonely time of year.

The Jingle BLISS initiative extends beyond providing warmth to include delivering comfort and companionship. Volunteers will personally hand-deliver each blanket, taking the time to visit with each senior. These visits offer a kind word, a listening ear, and a comforting presence-often the only personal interaction they have during the holiday season. This connection is crucial, providing emotional support and helping to alleviate feelings of loneliness and isolation.

We believe that these visits and the blankets we provide are more than just gestures-they are vital lifelines for our seniors. The simple act of wrapping up in a new blanket can make a significant difference for those without family to check on them or means to stay warm. Through this initiative, our mission is brought to life, ensuring that every senior we serve feels seen, valued, and cared for.

We will assemble at our office in El Cajon, CA, to prepare and pack the blankets for our Jingle BLISS initiative. Once all the blankets are packed, we will distribute them to the designated delivery areas within El Cajon. Volunteers can choose to drive themselves or carpool to their assigned locations. Each volunteer will personally deliver a blanket to seniors' homes, bringing not only the gift of warmth but also a friendly smile and warm holiday wishes. This effort ensures that every senior receives both the practical comfort of a new blanket and the personal touch of festive cheer during the holiday season.
