The BLISS-full Thanksgiving Program provides not just a meal but also connection and companionship to isolated, low-income seniors, fostering a sense of belonging during a lonely season. By serving festive meals or delivering them to housebound seniors, we strengthen relationships and identify those needing ongoing care. Volunteers experience the joy of making a difference by engaging personally with seniors, creating bonds, and deepening community ties while helping the most vulnerable.

We will gather at our prep location in El Cajon, CA (exact address to be emailed) to prepare and pack the Thanksgiving meals. Volunteers will work together in the community room to assemble and package each meal, ensuring everything is ready for delivery. Once the meals are packed, we will disperse them to the designated delivery areas, all located within El Cajon. Volunteers can choose to drive themselves or carpool to their assigned locations. Each volunteer will deliver a fully prepared holiday meal, along with paper products, directly to seniors' homes, accompanied by a smile and warm holiday wishes. This effort ensures that each senior receives not just a nourishing meal, but also the personal touch and festive cheer of the season.
