About
Founded by Janina Peter and Malish James, Bridging Gaps introduced a pay-it-forward community microloan model to address food security and poverty among refugees. By merging charity and microfinance, we empower entrepreneurs and create sustainable financial structures. Our digital platform secures donations from Europe and the global north, transforming them into microloans that ripple through the community. Unlike traditional repayable microloans, our model is based on a pay-it-forward approach. As businesses thrive, loans are passed on to new entrepreneurs in the same community, creating a sustainable ripple effect of new initiatives and, long-term, new independent financial structures. Donors receive continuous updates on the impactful stories of the entrepreneurs they support through our digital platform, fostering a sense of connection and engagement with the community. This innovative approach not only addresses immediate needs but also promotes lasting, self-sustaining initiatives. We are looking for a passionate and experienced individual to join our team as a Social Media Manager. This role provides a unique opportunity to significantly contribute to our mission while developing your professional skills in social media strategy, content creation, and digital engagement.

Develop and implement a social media strategy to enhance Bridging Gaps' online presence.
Create and curate engaging content for various social media platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and others.

Research and engage influencers and other potential partners to grow Bridging Gaps’ followers, engagement and conversion.
Monitor and leverage social media trends to ensure our content is relevant and impactful.
Track and analyze social media performance to optimize content and strategies.
Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure consistency and alignment with broader marketing goals.
Requirements:
Proven experience in social media management or digital content creation.
Strong understanding of social media platforms and current trends.
Ability to create visually appealing and engaging content, particularly short-form video.
Creative mindset with the ability to think outside the box.
Prior experience working in an international environment, demonstrating adaptability and cultural sensitivity.

Proficiency in German is a plus.
