Special Olympics Basketball Coach
ORGANIZATION: Special Olympics PA
Please visit the new page to apply.
Experience the joy of Special Olympics as the head coach for our 5 v 5 basketball team! Head coaches lead and organize their team of athletes and volunteers to create a comprehensive sport training program. While basketball knowledge/experience is helpful, we also offer coach training opportunities and resources, and our current coaches can provide some training and guidance to help you get acclimated.
Basketball practice starts in early 2025 and runs until June, with some opportunities for competition throughout the season. Practice takes place in Pottsville. If you are interested but don't want to wait until next year to start volunteering, we've got some Fall and Winter sports that you could participate with until Basketball season starts!
Volunteers are asked to complete our registration form and background check. For more information or to register, please reach out to us at volunteer@specialolympicspa.org. Thank you!
