Tuck-in Call Volunteers are part of an essential team that help families feel supported and to make sure all needs are being met by our hospice team.
Our virtual Tuck-in Call volunteers call caregivers of hospice patients residing at home each week to make sure the patient has the supplies and medications needed for the weekend. Calls are scripted and only take a few minutes.

Description
We started with 24 offices of a privately held Hospice Company and were bought by Amedisys in 2011. We are national, publicly-owned company that includes Hospice, Health Care and Person Care. I am looking for volunteers that will visit our Hospice patients. Volunteers are extremely important to our organization, as they can often spend a little extra time with a patient building a unique relationship. It is rewarding to be invited into some ones life at the end. The volunteers must go through 16 - 20 hours of free training prior to visiting with patients. Many have said that this is one of the most rewarding experiences that they have ever experienced. You will cry, you will laugh and you will experience the best of the human spirit.
